We respect your right to privacy and therefore want to inform you how we secure your personal data, how we collect and store it, and also want to indicate what rights you have regarding personal data.
Privacy Policy
(Annex No. 1 to the Regulations)
This Privacy Policy explains how we use information, how we collect and store it. By using the website at www.courses.vizacademy.co.uk, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
I. Personal data administrator.
- The administrator of personal data is VIZACADEMY LTD with its registered office in Poland, entered into the National Court Register under KRS number 0000725092, REGON: 369803210, NIP: 7343557295 being the owner of the Store.
- The Shop Owner processes personal data of Users (i.e. individuals using the Service) in accordance with the law, in particular with the Act of 10 May 2018 on personal data protection, and in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter also referred to as “GDPR”).
- The Shop Owner, as the Personal data administrator, collects personal data provided during the use of the Shop with the utmost care and in accordance with applicable law, respecting in particular the right to privacy and guarantees to all persons using the Shop that their provided data will be properly protected against access by unauthorized persons.
- The Administrator does not sell or provide Users’ personal data to third parties without their explicit consent, except as provided in point 5 below.
- The Shop Owner is entitled to provide Users’ personal data only to entities authorized to do so under applicable law.
II. Processing of personal data
- The User remains anonymous until they make their first purchase in the Store and create an Account or subscribe to the electronic newsletter.
- By making a purchase in the Store, the User consents to the collection and processing of personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- The Owner of the Store processes the personal data of Customers (in particular: name, surname, address, including: street name, house or flat number, city, postal code, country, telephone number and e-mail address, as well as tax identification number, company name and the login and password established by the Customer) to the extent necessary for the establishment, shaping or modification of the content of the Sales Agreement.
- Providing personal data as referred to in paragraph 3 above is voluntary, but failure to provide such data prevents the use of the online Store, i.e. placing an Order and concluding a Sales Agreement.
- Personal data obtained during registration of an Account or placing an Order in the Store are processed for the purpose of performing the Sales Agreement, i.e. on the basis of art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. The basis for processing data is the necessity of processing to conclude or perform the Sales Agreement. This information is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the Order, including issuing a sales receipt (receipt or VAT invoice). The Store has the right to disclose the collected data to its trading partners for the purpose of fulfilling the Order.
- Processing of personal data is also carried out on the basis of legal provisions (resulting from tax law or accounting regulations), i.e. on the basis of art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.
- The basis for processing data is also the purposes resulting from our legitimate interests pursued by the Store Owner or by a third party (i.e. our partners – data recipients, which we describe below), i.e. on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. This basis for data processing applies in cases where we need to check the security of data, as well as for the following purposes:
- analytical (i.e. selecting services according to customers’ needs; optimizing products based on your interest, technical logs; optimizing service processes based on the course of sales and after-sales service, including complaint handling; researching customer satisfaction and determining the quality of our service).
- archival for information security purposes,
- possible establishment, investigation or defense against claims,
- directly offering products (direct marketing), including selecting them according to needs (see Cookie Policy)
- offering directly (direct marketing) products and services of companies cooperating with us (e.g. in the form of discount coupons) to the extent determined by a conducted and documented analysis of such a legitimate interest.
- Personal data collected on the basis of consent given will be processed only for the purpose for which the consent was given, and only to the extent necessary in the specific case.
- The Store Owner may indicate personal data other than those specified in paragraph 3 above, necessary to use the Online Store, provided that they may be processed only with the prior consent of the User given after being informed by the Store Owner about the category of such data, the purpose and scope of their processing, and their recipients, unless the law provides otherwise. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- The user has the right to withdraw the previously given consent to the Owner of the Store for the processing of their data, including for marketing purposes, at any time by sending an appropriate message to the email address: office@vizacademy.co.uk. After the User’s personal data has been deleted, the Store Owner is not entitled to further process them, unless such entitlement results from applicable laws.
- In connection with running the Store, the Store Owner has access to Users’ IP addresses and information about the start, end, and scope of using the Store, recorded in system logs. This information is used for statistical analysis and concerns only the IP address and the time when the Internet Store website was used; it is not, however, combined with any other personal data of individual Users.
- In addition to the data indicated in paragraph 3 above, the online store automatically collects data contained in cookies while using the Store. “Cookies” mean computer data, in particular text files, stored in end-user devices intended for the use of websites.
- Only with the User’s consent, the data provided by them may be used for marketing purposes. The consent may be expressed by completing the form to receive commercial information electronically (newsletter) or by ticking the appropriate box when placing an Order. The given consent may be withdrawn at any time without prejudice to the fulfillment of Orders or without affecting the lawfulness of data processing before the withdrawal of consent.
- The User’s consent to the processing of their personal data for marketing purposes, referred to in paragraph 13 above, is not necessary for using the Store, including for placing Orders.
- Cookies are used by the Store Owner only to operate the Store, including to recognize the User’s device and display the Store page adapted to their individual needs, as well as to create anonymous statistics of the page. This data is not used to obtain any personal data of visitors to the Store. More information about cookies can be found in the Cookies Policy below.
III. Data retention period
Personal data is stored in a form that allows for the identification of the individuals whose data it pertains to for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is processed (proper execution of the Sales Agreement, fulfillment of legal obligations in the field of tax law, direct marketing). After this time, the data is stored solely for the purpose of securing legal claims or deleted.
IV. Rights of natural persons
- Every person whose personal data is processed by the Administrator has the right to:
- access their personal data and obtain a copy of it,
- rectify their personal data,
- delete their personal data,
- restrict the processing of their personal data,
- transfer their personal data.
- Every person whose personal data is processed has the right to object to the processing of their personal data. To the extent that personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, the person whose data it pertains to has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. - The request of the natural person will be carried out immediately, no later than within 72 hours of its submission. In order to verify the identity of the person making the request, the Client is requested to provide a scan of their ID card or passport or a bill that shows the company’s data. Neither these documents nor the information they contain are entered into any personal data collection and are immediately deleted after the verification process is completed. Such action is necessary to protect the vital interests of the person whose data it pertains to (Article 6(1)(d) of the GDPR).
- If a person whose data is processed believes that the Administrator is processing their personal data in violation of the provisions on the protection of personal data, they may file a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
V. Cookie Policy
- The website available at www.courses.vizacademy.co.uk automatically collects information contained in cookie files. Cookies are computer data, especially text files, which are stored on the end device of the person using the Service, i.e. the User, and are intended for using the Service’s websites. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device, and a unique number.
- Cookies are used for:
- adapting the content of the Service’s websites to the User’s preferences and optimizing the use of the websites. In particular, these files allow for recognizing the User’s device and displaying a web page tailored to their individual needs;
- creating statistics that help understand how Users use the Service’s websites, which allows for improving their structure and content;
- maintaining the User’s session on the Service (after logging in), so that the User does not have to enter their login and password again on every subpage of the Service.
- The Service uses two main types of cookies: “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies. “Session” cookies are temporary files that are stored on the User’s end device until they log out, leave the website or turn off the software (web browser). “Persistent” cookies are stored on the User’s end device for a specified time in the cookie file parameters or until they are deleted by the User.
- The following types of cookies are used on the Service:
- “necessary” cookies, enabling the use of services available within the Service, e.g. authentication cookies used for services requiring authentication within the Service;
- cookies used to ensure security, e.g. used to detect abuses in the area of authentication within the Service;
- “performance” cookies, enabling the collection of information on the way the Service’s websites are used;
- “functional” cookies, enabling the “remembering” of settings selected by the User and personalization of the User interface, e.g. in terms of the selected language or region from which the User comes, font size, appearance of the website, etc.;
- “advertising” cookies, enabling the delivery of advertising content more tailored to the User’s interests.
- In many cases, software used to browse websites (web browser) allows for storing cookie files on the User’s end device by default. Users of the Service may change cookie settings at any time. These settings may be changed in such a way as to block the automatic handling of cookie files in the web browser’s settings or to inform about their placement on the User’s end device every time. Detailed information on the possibilities and ways of handling cookies is available in the software settings (web browser).
- The Service Operator informs that the limitations on the use of cookie files may affect some functionalities available on the Service’s websites.
- The cookies placed on the end device of the User of the Service may also be used by advertisers and partners cooperating with the operator of the Service
